FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR
PUBLISHED ACCOUNTS AWARDS 2012
The Chartered Accountants Leinster Society has today (7 November 2012) announced the shortlist for its Published Accounts Awards for 2012. The Awards, sponsored by the Irish Stock Exchange, reward companies for excellence in financial reporting in Ireland and this year’s shortlist includes a total of 24 companies, not-for-profit organisations and charities. The winners will be announced at a luncheon in The Shelbourne Hotel on Thursday, 22 November, 2012.

In addition to the sectional awards, there will also be an Overall Winners Award from across all categories, a Social Responsibility Reporting Award and a Branding, Communication & Marketing Award.
Among the winners of last year’s awards were CRH plc (Large Quoted Company category), UTV plc (Small/Medium Quoted Company category), ESB (Statutory unquoted large entities category) and Fyffes (Enterprise Securities Market). Concern won the award for the Not For Profit / Charities category. Last year’s recipient of the newly introduced Investment Funds category was Magna Financial with Elan picking up the Branding, Communication & Marketing Award. CRH plc received the award for Social Responsibility Reporting.
Commenting on the 2012 awards, Johnny McElhinney, Chairman, Chartered Accountants Leinster Society, said: “Now in their 35th year, these awards continue to promote and reward excellence in the presentation of annual published financial accounts. The 2012 Published Accounts Awards will take place on Thursday 22nd November at the Shelbourne Hotel.
